Norfolk Airport Authority Announces New Board Appointees

NORFOLK, Va. – (Aug. 9, 2011) – The Norfolk Airport Authority is pleased to announce the new slate of officers recently appointed to serve on its Board of Commissioners. The Reverend Dr. Harold James Cobb Jr., immediate past-vice chairman, steps up to the role of chairman, replacing Louis F. Ryan, Esquire, who will remain on the Airport Authority’s board as a commissioner.

 

The Rector at Grace Episcopal Church in Norfolk, where he’s served for the past sixteen years, Cobb is active in many civic and community organizations. He also serves on the boards of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, Children’s Health Systems and Saint Paul’s College.

Other new officers include Gus James, Esquire, vice chairman; Blythe Ann Scott, Esquire, treasurer; and Norfolk Airport Authority executive director, Wayne Shank will serve as secretary.

Malcolm P. Branch; Dr. Samuel F. Coppage; William L. Nusbaum, Esquire; Chris G. Stephanitsis; and Robert T. Taylor will remain as commissioners.

The Norfolk Airport Authority oversees the operation and development of the Norfolk International Airport. Commissioners serve four year terms and are appointed by the Norfolk City Council.
